ADMISSIONS & WITHDRAWLS:
(a) Admissions: Candidates for admission into three year degree course must have pass certificate in intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of intermediate Education, Hyderabad, or any other examination recognized as equivalent by Andhra University.
(b) Rules for admission
- The prescribed application form can be had on payment of Rs. 101- in the case of B.Com Course and Rs. 201- in the case of un-aided Courses such as B.Sc., and B.B.M. The application shall be submitted in the Principal's office strictly adhering to the instructions contained therein.
- An applicant should produce the following documents in the original at the time of appearing for interview.
- Provisional Certificate,
- Marks lists of the qualifying examination,
- Transfer Certificate from the institution last studied,
- Physical fitness Certificate,
- Four photos of passport size and two of stamp size.
(3) Students are usually admitted at the beginning of the first term.
(4) Any student who obtains admission by false representation shall be summarily dismissed and all money paid by him shall be forfeited.
(C). Withdrawal : If a student wants to leave the institution during the middle of the term, transfer Certificate will not be issued until all the dues to the college up to that date are cleared. .
(D) Issue of Conduct and Transfer Certificates:
- Students who have completed their course will be given conduct certificates at the time of leaving the institution.
- Transfer Certificate will be issued to an outgoing student who has no dues, only on application made within one year from the last working day of the academic year in which the student completed the Course of study at the College. If the application is made after a lapse of one year, the certificate will be issued on payment of Rs. 101- .as late fee for each such year. .
- Duplicate Copy of a Transfer Certificate will be issued on submission of a sworn affidavit certified by a Magistrate. The declaration should indicate that the original certificate was lost irrevocably and not used for any other purpose. In such a case, a penalty of Rs. 1001- per certificate will be levied.
- No student shall abstain himself/herself from college without applying for leave. Application for leave shall be signed by the parent and submitted to the class Teacher after obtaining initial of the Principal.
- If any student abstains from classes without any intimation to the principal and the concerned Class Teacher for more than 10 days continuously, the student will have to meet the concerned class Teacher and Principal and explain the reasons for such a long absence. Otherwise, the name of the student is liable for removal from the rolls. '
- Students have to obtain prior permission from the concerned Class Teacher in case they have to leave the class for any urgent reason on any working day.
- Students are expected to assemble in the class room punctually at the stroke of the bell when the roll shall be called and the absence of any student noted. A student coming into the class room after the roll call, maybe refused entry/attendance or recommended to the Principal for punishment.
- Students, misbehaving in the Class room will be severely, punished.
- Students shall maintain pin-drop silence in all classes.
- Every student should attend the classes with necessary text books; notes etc.
SHORTAGE OF ATTENDANCE:
Every student is required to put in a minimum of 75% attendance. Candidates whose attendance is less than 75%, will not be permitted to appear for University examinations, as per the rules currently in force.
The attendance position of the students will be displayed before 15th of every month and students and their parents are advised to see the notice board and contact the concerned Class Teacher and the Principal and explain the reasons for absence. If the explanation furnished by the students/parents is not satisfactory, they will be warned and if such absence without prior intimation or application for leave occurs again, the name of the student concerned will be deleted from the nominal rolls with out any further intimation/warning.
FEES AND FEE CONCESSIONS:
Tuition fee and special fee will be collected at the beginning of each year. Particulars of fees payable at the time of admission into I year will be informed through intimation cards sent to provisionally selected candidates and there after fee payable by students will be informed through notices circulated in classes.
The last dates for payment of fees with or without fines will be informed through notices to classes.
- The amount of fee and fine payable for not paying the fee within the stipulated time will be informed through notices circulated in classes.
- If a student fails to pay the fees with fine before the stipulated date, his/her name is liable to be removed from rolls. Students whose names are so removed should pay a readmission fee of Rs. 1001- in addition to the fee, anti fine due.
FEE CONCESSIONS:
Fee Concession to students belonging to SC, ST, BC and OBC Categories is given as per Government rules on submission of prescribed application forms subject to sanction by the Government.
SCHOLARSHIPS:
National Merit, National Loan, State Merit and State Loan scholarships will be given to students who are eligible for them based on the criteria prescribed by the Government. Scholarships once sanctioned will be renewed from year to year provided the candidate puts in the required percentage of attendance and the Principal certifies his / her character to be good. A minimum attendance of 75% is insisted upon for students holding any kind of scholarship.
DISCIPLINARY REGULATIONS: (a) Attendance:
- Every student must be regular and punctual at the scheduled hours for lectures.
- Every student must put in at least 75% of attendance.
- Out of five / six periods conducted daily, if a student is absent for anyone or more of the first three periods before interval he / she will be marked absent for half day and like wise, if any student is absent for anyone or more periods after the interval, he / she will be marked absent for the other part of the day.
IDENTITY CARDS:
Students are issued Identity cards at the time .of admission. If the card is lost or stolen, duplicate card can be obtained from the college office on payment of Rs. 10/- through prescribed challan. The student is required to paste his/her photo on the card. . .
INSTITUTIONAL EXAMINATIONS:
- For the purpose of evaluating the students and to train them for university examinations, several internal examinations will be conducted every academic year. In addition to unit tests, Quarterly, Mid-term and Progress examinations will be conducted in each academic year. Attendance in all these examinations is compulsory for all students. Students who absent for such examinations are generally asked to answer the concerned Question Paper three times and get it valued by the subject teacher and intimate the same to their Class Teacher. Those who abstain from internal exams, but do not do so, will have to pay a fine of Rs. 101- for Unit Test per subject and Rs. 50/- for full length exams which would be collected before the conclusion of the academic year.
- Students who cannot appear for internal examinations on account of valid reasons shall obtain permission from the Principal in advance and the letter seeking such permission must be signed by their father/mother. Fines will not be collected from the students who obtain such prior permission. .
- Performance of the students in the institutional examinations will also be taken into account for permitting the students to appear for University examinations.
DRESS:
Every student shall come to the college in prescribed uniform on all working days. Those who do not come in prescribed dress will not be permitted entry into the campus.
OTHERS:
- Students shall not play any game in the ground during the working hours. However the Principal may permit the students on certain occasions on the recommendation of the Physical Director. .
- Students are prohibited from organizing any meetings, signature campaigns and collection of money in or outside the college campus for any purpose without obtaining written permission from the Principal.
- Students are strictly prohibited fromgiving statements to the press without the written permission of the Principal.
- Principal has powers to impose any punishment such as fine, withholding of attendance and progress certificates, suspension and expulsion.
- Students of the college going on strike or any serious indiscipline in any way shall forfeit their scholarship, fee concession etc., and their admission will be cancelled immediately as per the rules of the University.
- The college reserves the right to suspend or dismiss any student when the judgment of the college authorities advice such action. A student dismissed from the college will not be given Study/Conduct Certificate.
- Students shall bring their identity cards daily when they come to the college and show them whenever required by the college authorities. If any student fails to bring his/her identity cards, he / she will not be allowed to enter the campus and such student will be treated as an outsider. No student shall leave the campus before the completion of the classes for the day. Suitable disciplinary action will be taken on students who leave the campus without attending all classes.
- Student shall report to the security personnel at the entrance /the Principal, whenever they happen to see any outsider in the college campus.
- Students are advised not to bring their friends or relatives or old Students of the college without obtaining prior permission from the Principal for doing so. Students are also advised not to encourage any outsiders to meet them in the college campus. The college reserves the right to hand over any outsider to the Police for necessary action.
- Students are advised in their interest to notify to the Class Teacher and Principal of any changes in their residential addresses.
- Any student who is expelled from the college will automatically forfeit claim for refund of all types of fee paid by him to the College up to that date.
- Students are strictly prohibited from smoking in the college campus. Severe disciplinary action will be taken in this regard.
- Students shall not write any thing or paste posters or stickers on the walls of the college buildings. .
- Students are instructed to park their vehicles only in the parking area situated at the entrance of the college only.
- The College merely provides space for parking their vehicles, but will not hold any responsibility for the safety of vehicles or spare parts.
- The Principal shall have complete power in the maintenance of discipline among the students. He shall have the authority to frame issue and modify disciplinary rules for regulating the conduct of students. .
LIBRARY:
- The college library works from 9 am to 4.30 p.m. on all working days with a lunch break of one hour from 1 pm to 2 pm. Open access system is followed.
- Issue and return of library books is permitted during the timing and days notified by the librarian at the beginning of the academic year. .
- Students and staff of the College only are permitted to use the library. Outsiders are not allowed. .
- At the end of each academic year, all the students shall return the books borrowed from the library and obtain “No due Certificate” from the library.
GAMES AND SPORTS:
- Facilities are provided to all the students of the College in select games. The College encourages good sportsmen to participate in inter-college and Inter University Tournaments.
- All sports and Games, activities of the college are governed by the Games Committee consisting of Principal (as Chairman), Physical Director (as Secretary) and Captains of various games and one or two members of the teaching staff, who are nominated by the Principal.
- Captains of various games and General Captain are nominated by the Principal on the recommendation of the Physical Director for each academic year.
EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:
The college has one NCC and one NSS Unit. NCC Cadets and N.S.S. Volunteers have to put in 75% of attendance in parades and Community work respectively. They will also be allowed to participate in Annual Camps. Final Year students and NCC Cadets are not eligible to join the NSS.
CLASS TEACHER SYSTEM:
- Every student will be entrusted to the care of the particular teacher who is designated as 'Class Teacher'. There will be one Class Teacher for each section. The students are advised to contact or consult their Class Teachers on all academic and other matters relating to their welfare.
- Every student shall make it a point to meet his class Teacher at least once in every 15 days outside class hours and appraise him "of his/her studies and seek guidance and help from time to time.
- All applications for leave, signed by the Principal must be submitted to the Class Teachers by the concerned students
STUDENTS ADVISORY COUNCIL
Students Advisory Council shall consist of Students, Teachers and Principal. The Principal of the college shall be the Honorary President, who nominates other members viz, Teachers and students in every academic year. One student from every section/class will be nominated on the basis of merit in terms of marks obtained in the immediately preceding University/Government examination, regularity to classes and general behavior and conduct. Principal nominates General Captain who shall be from final year degree classes.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
- To develop the power of public speaking among the students by holding debates and elocutions.
- To improve literary skills of students by organizing essay writing Competitions.
- To improve fine arts such music, dance, drawing, singing etc.
- To help update general knowledge of the students by organizing Quiz competitions.
- To inculcate spirit of sportsmanship among the students by organizing competitions in games and sports.
- To organize meetings and celebrate functions such as Independence Day, Republic Day, College Day etc.
- To work for the general welfare of the students.
- To organize guest lectures by eminent persons for the benefit of all or a particular section of the students on matters like career planning and guidance, traffic rules etc.,
METHOD OF WORKING OF STUDENT ADVISORY COUNCIL:
- All matters shall be decided by a majority vote after discussion.
- The council shall meet at least once in every month to chalk out a program of action for the ensuing .month.
- All meetings shall be convened by the Honorary President.
- Members of the council who fail to attend two consecutive meetings without prior permission from the Honorary President shall cease to be members of the committee.
